Raising Up Godly Leaders
I’ve got some news to share with you as we start up 2020.
Now this news might seem shocking, but stay with me. Here at Forerunner Mentoring, we are not about making disciples. That’s not our focus. If all that we do is make disciples, I believe we have failed as an organization.
We are about making disciples that make disciples.
Our heart is to not only teach our boys how to follow Jesus, but to teach them how to take what they have learned and pass it on. I am believing for transformation not just in our young men, but in their families, schools, and friend circles. For the boys in our program, it is my hope and dream that what they are learning in Forerunner will impact their future wives and children.
Raising Up Godly Leaders
One way we do that is by teaching our 5th & 6th grade Forerunners to be good examples to our Kinder-2nd grade Forerunners. We show them how to be encouraging through their words, smiles, and high fives. We teach them to recognize how the younger Forerunners are always watching them and will tend to act as they act. We believe this responsibility is healthy and will help our boys to take ownership in our program through leading like Jesus. We want our boys to take the leadership principles they’ve learned in our program and put them into practice in their own world - to make a difference in the name of Jesus. Because our boys are world changers and history makers. They are the future and the future looks bright.
Thank you for making this training ground possible.
Thank you for praying and for supporting. We couldn’t do what the Lord has called us to do in our community without you. Here’s to making disciples that make disciples in the name of Jesus.
