Moms are more than beneficiaries.

We view the mothers of the young men we seek to serve as the most important person in their life; by supporting the single mother with a network of community and resources, we support our young men's relational well-being, educational progress, and help them to develop a positive identity.

Moms are more than beneficiaries of Forerunner Mentoring’s programming. They are the listening ear, the shoulder to cry on, the friend that sticks closer than a sister. It is better to serve than to be served, and the mothers of our Forerunners exemplify this truth in their homes and amongst one another in our family ministry.

We've noticed if moms are envisioned and engaged in supporting their son's involvement at Forerunner, they are more likely to benefit from our after school programs and mentoring relationships. We see every mother of the boys we currently serve as well as the ones we are yet to serve as key factors in helping their boys fulfill their God-given potential. In the classroom, in this community, and wherever their legacy takes them in their generation. Moms are more than beneficiaries.
